Security Evangelist

Remote - Full Time

As a Security Evangelist, you will play a crucial role in developing and disseminating information about security incidents, vulnerabilities, and best practices in the cybersecurity realm. Your work will involve writing concise, informative articles, and engaging directly with customers through calls, questionnaires and more. This role demands a unique blend of technical acumen, outstanding communication skills, and a deep passion for cybersecurity. 

This position is a fully remote work from home (WFH), but candidates must live and be authorized to work within the United States without employer sponsorship or transfer of employer sponsorship. 

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

  • Base Salary:
    • The salary range is between $50,000--$70,000 based on your applicable work experience and cost of living. 

*Note: Salary for this position may vary based on geographical location, considering cost-of-living differences. The compensation package will be determined in alignment with local market standards, ensuring a fair and competitive remuneration reflective of the specific location where the successful candidate will be employed.

  • Annual Bonus:
    • We also offer an annual bonus with a target of 12% of the base salary based on our company hitting company-wide goals.
  • Other Bonuses
    • We periodically offer company-wide one-off bonuses when milestones are reached.

Day in the life Example

There is nothing worse than thinking a job is one thing and finding out later it's something else. Here are some examples of what we expect day to day life to be like.
  • Start your day off right by catching up with your co-workers, maybe share a meme or two.
  • Review internal security mailbox for questionaries from customers.
  • Research and investigate current trending news about vulnerabilities in the space.
  • Plan and assist in leading a webinar about current security trends monthly.
  • Learn the Patch MY PC products well enough to do 30–60-minute demo.
  • Assist in creating timely delivery of news to customers, via various social media platforms.
  • Assist in creating training content for internal and external parties.
  • Present on stage at various conferences around the world. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Content Creation: Write and curate engaging, informative articles and news pieces on recent security incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends in the cybersecurity field.
  • Customer Engagement: Communicate effectively with customers to explain complex security concepts in understanding terms, helping them grasp our security paradigm and risk management strategies. 
  • Awareness and Education: Develop materials and presentations aimed at educating both internal and external stakeholders about cybersecurity risks and preventive measures. 
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest developments in cybersecurity, identifying key trends and potential threats to inform our content and strategies. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, technical, and security teams to ensure a cohesive and accurate representation of our security posture.

Extra credit will be awarded for applicants who have previous experience in the following areas:
  • Defender ATP 
  • Compliance Frameworks
  • GDPR
  • Configuration Manager/Intune
